Martha's Wine Walk

In addition to showing you round our distillery and winery, Martha Gehring also offers to take you on her unique “Martha’s Wine Walk”. This is a guided 90-minute stroll through the vineyards of the site Volkacher Ratsherr in our beautiful Franconian countryside. Martha Gehring has trained as a bilingual wine guide and gives the tour in her best Franconian English.
A knowledgeable wine expert, Martha has taken part in official training courses run by the Bavarian Government. She is eager to pass on what she knows about vines and vineyards, the wine production, the cellar work and the history of wine growing in Franconia to interested visitors and wine-lovers. Martha’s Wine Walk is an unforgettable experience. In her inimitable humorous and hands-on way, Martha links all her explanations to something you can see in the vineyard or taste in your glass. It makes wine growing come alive for you! A tasting of five selected wines is included in Martha’s Wine Walk (soft drinks also available). There is also the option of adding Franconian finger food to make it more like a picnic.
