Come with me and discover the charming little town of Marktbreit, beautifully situated on the river Main.

Let me show you our picturesque historic centre with its Renaissance and Baroque architecture and tell you why Marktbreit was once an important trading town. Along the way, you will hear interesting stories and amusing anecdotes about the people who lived here.

• the historic crane with its huge, still-working wooden wheels
• the picturesque Malerwinkel (painters corner), Marktbreit's most famous view
• magnificent Baroque merchants' houses and a hidden courtyard
• the Renaissance Town Hall with its beautiful council and wedding rooms
• Seinsheim Castle
• St. Nikolai Church with its historic Poor Man's Bible and the impressive Prince's Gallery

- If you would like to discover even more of Marktbreit, your tour can also include:

• the historic cemetery arcades with richly decorated gravestones dating back to the 16th century

Would you like to combine sightseeing with a glass or two of Franconian wine?

Join me for a relaxed wine walk from Marktbreit's historic centre up to the vineyards and the chapel on the hill.

Along the way we will enjoy four Franconian wines, accompanied by small snacks, entertaining stories and traditional drinking toasts. You will learn about Franconia, our vineyards and our wines – without turning it into a serious wine lecture!

At the top of chapel hill, a wonderful panoramic view over Marktbreit, the river Main and the surrounding countryside awaits us.
